Cyber Instructure [Dec. 13th, 2015|07:18 am]
The University of Alberta

[Current Location |Canada, Edmonton]
[mood |gratefulgrateful]

I have been a loyal Liberal before I was voted and I have voted you in Millwoods for councilman.  I volunteered for the Young  Liberals since Mr. Dion.  Now as a Infrastructure Minister in  Justin Trudeau's cabinet I would please consider this approsal in Canada that I believe needs to be done now and fast in the 21st century.  That plan is having a smartphone for every smartphone for every person in Canada even 14 year old students and homeless in Canada we need to have this tool for everyone.  I also believe that these smartphones should be free, and as Infrastructure Minister you should create a free wifi network all over Canada from Coast to Coast to Coast.

Having thousands of these wifi spots even in Nunavut or Hinton and giving usernames and passwords for every person of Canada.  This will be necessary in this information age and quaternary industries will make Canada the greatest and productive economic engine to will reduce our deficit in 4 years. I Truly believe in this new brave world for Canada and I hope that you will also feel as deeply as I am.  I am excited to see your possible start in Edmonton as a pilot plan.  We hope that you will improve education and increase a lot of jobs.  Humbly awaiting you reply.

Lost Onecard! [Sep. 16th, 2011|08:05 am]
The University of Alberta

Hi there! I lost my Onecard yesterday, either in campus or LRT.

I take the LRT from century park to university, so if anyone is living around century park/millwoods and takes the bus/LRT, please look in the bus/LRT if you see a pink lanyard or even just a onecard.

If anyone finds a onecard inside a clear plastic card holder attached to a pink lanyard ("one piece" written on the lanyard), along with a silver green key and a boat keychain, please let me know, or please turn it in at the onecard office.

My name is Monica, please e-mail me at filoteo@ualberta.ca

Whoever finds it you will be rewarded! I also contact the ETS lost and found, UofA Lost and found, and the Onecard office daily, and I really want to find it and not have to get another replacement card and pay for a new u-pass...

Any help is appreciated!
Thank you very much!

Okay, this may not be news to you, but I was just told about this. I find it hilarious but a little sad at the same time. I think it's awesome, but also paling in comparison to The Sartorialist. I guess I should adjust my expectations.

For sale on campus: Loft bed, great for res. [Jan. 16th, 2010|01:44 pm]
The University of Alberta

If you're in a tiny room on residence and want to save space, and still have a reasonable sized bed, read on.

It's a double bed, loft-bed style, so you can easily put a desk or couch, and a shelf underneath it. I used this for 3 years in HUB mall, and it was fantastic.

The bed is an IKEA Stora, as pictured here: http://webdocs.cs.ualberta.ca/~nickurak/stora1.jpg

To make room for non-child-sized people, 9 inches has been removed from the bottom of the posts, so there's actually room to sit up in bed, but still room to sit at a desk below.

It's partially assembled, on campus right now. If you're interested in buying it for a residence here on campus, I'll even help move the parts and set it up with you. It does not include a mattress.

I originally bought it for over $500. I'm now asking for $200, or best (reasonable) offer, including delivery and set-up on campus.

This bed served me well, but my new place (in East Campus Villiage) just doesn't fit it right. I'm hoping somebody else can get as much use out of it as I have.

You can LJ message me, or comment here for more info. Thanks!
